D2 Emerge LLC has completed the purchase of SD Times magazine and related digital properties from BZ Media LLC.

Melville, N.Y., July 11, 2017 – D2 Emerge LLC, a 21st century media company, has completed the purchase of SD Times magazine and related digital properties from BZ Media LLC, effective July 1, 2017.

D2 Emerge is founded by industry veterans David Lyman and David Rubinstein. Lyman, president and CEO of D2 Emerge, has been in the technology sector since 2000, first at Fawcette Technical Publications, where he served as Eastern Sales Manager before joining BZ Media in 2005. He most recently held the positions of vice president, sales, at BZ Media and publisher of SD Times.  Mr. Rubinstein joined BZ Media in 1999 and has served in numerous capacities. He most recently was editor-in-chief of SD Times and vice president, production, at BZ Media.

“We are excited to be taking over the strong SD Times title and brand, and look forward to maintaining the magazine’s leading position in the software development sector while growing our subscriber base and expanding our digital footprint,” said Lyman, who will also retain his position as publisher of the magazine.

SD Times has 79,000 print and digital subscribers, and the sdtimes.com website is seen by an average of 200,000 unique visitors per month. D2 Emerge will continue to produce the News on Monday digital newsletter and to offer whitepaper and webinar lead-generation programs.
